New Hub installed and Speed reverted to under 250mbs

Hello, I just received a new hub router. My old one was broken and showing a consistent red light. This was all sorted promptly and installation was easy. However, my speed test consistently shows below 250mbs download speed despite having upgraded to 500mbs last year. Before he new hub I was getting 300mbs+ over WiFi. Is it possible my new hub has reverted my speed to the original contract speed of 250mbs? And how can I check this?

    Look in your hub settings and navigate to the configuration data page.

    What numbers are in the Max Data Transfer rate boxes?

    These are in bytes and if on the 250 service the down box will start 30nnnnn.. if on 500 it usually starts 60nnnnn..

    If yiu are still on the 250 service you will need to call it in and request the upgrade is reapplied.

      Sorry to hear of your speed concerns. Has the steps kindly offered by jbrennand been able to help understand the issue at all? A replacement router wouldn't have any effect on your contract itself.
