My new Hub5 is identifying as my old Hub4
Hey anyone
I don't know why i post on here as i never get any response but I'm going to just highlight a really weird situation in regards to my new set up from Virgin media. I have been a customer for years and had many tv boxes and hubs from virgin, the latest i have is the new hub5 which i installed today to replace the hub4 and i put the hub4 along with its power cord into the packaging/box provided with my hub5 to return the hub4. I then plugged in and installed the hub5 which has a new network name and wifi password obviously, and waited for the hub5 to do its thing and install, power up etc. Once the hub5 was ready i connected my cables to the rear of the hub5 and went to rejoin my devices. The new hub5 is identifying itself as my old hub4 with the same network name and allowing me to access wifi etc with the old hub4 password as well, im no expert but how is that even possible let alone allowed to happen, my hub5 has a completely different network name or SSID i think it may be known as by experts, and a completely unique wifi password also, but i am able to join and connect all of my homes devices, which includes several Alexa echo dots, 2 virgin tv boxes, 2 virgin wifi pods, multiple smart tv’s and Amazon firesticks along with 4 iPhones to the new hub5 with the wifi password for the unplugged and put in a box hub4. Make this make sense to me please
