Latency spikes every 12 hours, all the time

Hey all

Just a question of curiosity I guess. I figured I'd ask here rather than wait in a queue and call VM directly, as I'm mostly just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue.

I've noticed that every 12 hours, just before 10am and 10pm, there is a very large latency spike. I don't notice it in regular use, but I see it on my broadband quality monitor all the time, and was wondering if anyone knew what it could be?

BQM is here

Any comments appreciated! Might still end up calling VM to figure it out, but it's not a big issue to me at all

Thank you!

Are you using your own router? It could be that.

  • Do you use a hub 5 by any chance?

Ive noticed this on my neighbours BQM, he has a hub 5 in router mode and his spikes every 12 hours (7:30 am and 7:30pm) nearly everyday.

My hub 5 in modem mode, doesnt do that. I think the spikes are to do with some kind of speedtest carried out by vm but Im not too certain.
