It's goodbye from me after 25+ years

I first joined when it was United Artists then Telewest then VM. I stuck with it through the worst. I've had the same home phone number with them for 25+ years. I reckon I am a good customer as my monthly bill is over £180 (although my renewal contract comes up at £130).

I was thinking that I didn't need some of the services on my account but they were handy. I have Homeworks, and I thought that was access to an engineer next day for broadband problems.

My service is off completely since lunchtime today. No TV broadband or home phone. There isn't a general outage in my area. Earliest an engineer can come is tuesday, but nobody will be in and I shouldn't have to wait that long anyway.

I've taken the opportunity to rethink my services and decided that the best thing is give someone else a chance. I know the grass isn't always greener but I have unlimited 5G data on phone hotspots so I can manage while I change over, that's even if I need to. Already done a port request for the landline.

I guess the last straw is that you pay for something (homeworks) that isn't then delivered and I currently have no services at all functioning. It has given me an opportunity to think why I need all these services and I will save a lot of money. So thanks VM for the wakeup call. I'm not complaining it was just the push I needed.

Bye!

  • United Artists as an ISP is a new one on me. Who are you switching to? Let us know how it goes.
