Intermittent packet drops & high latency with Post RS Errors

Hi

I'm a relatively new customer and everything was fine to start with, but recently I've noticed iplayer and YouTube video pausing at times throughout the day.

BQM shows the story:

  • Hi mr-b

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Sorry for any service issues.

The Hub is currently in Modem Mode. Can you pop it into Router Mode for us so we can run full checks.

    Best wishes.

  • Tx for the reply John. Will changing it to router mode disrupt traffic?

It is only for VM to access the hub and see and confirm the stats that you have provided. The stats are awful and unless there is an area fault you will need a technician’s visit.

  • Tx, sorry for the delay as I didn't get any email reply notification. However that doesn't answer my question.

My modem is connected to my Pfsense firewall and I recall it was trouble to get it passing traffic, so I am loath to change the config without some assurance that it won't disrupt internet access.

Also when you say the stats are 'awful', please can you clarify?
