Intermittent Internet Dropout

Hi,

We recently upgraded to M500 and ever since then we've started having regular drop outs.

Hardware - Hub 3.0 in modem mode / Asus GT-AC2900 Router

Been with Virgin for year, had the Asus router for almost 2, never had this issue.

Wifi stay connected fine but it looses internet, happens 3/4 times per day, comes back 20-30 seconds later.

I've run the "thinkbroadband" test and you can clearly see the drops, I'm not sure what the solution is and would appreciate any advice.

 Thanks

Just remember in Modem mode your Asus GT-AC2900 Router is responding to BQM
i.e. it is not a graph of the VM Hub 3 responses.

Yes but that proves over ethernet look at it this way if we setup a BQM for router mode and no problem (which in this case should show the same problem) then that only proves to Docsis and not a Ethernet problem which VM will do the run around saying ping to hub is fine.

But something like 99% of the time if modem mode shows a problem to your own router/PC then so will router mode

So building on what Client62 said, as a test, put the Hub into router mode and disconnect the Asus cable connection.  Set up a second BQM - as your ip will change in  the two modes modes - does it look as bad" and do youu get the drop outs ?
