Intermittent Connection

Rapidly approaching the point of quitting VM once and for all.

There has been a constant issue in the local area with outages and intermittent connectivity for weeks now.

Engineer claims that one rogue router is knocking everyone offline

What is the best way to get to the root cause of the issue and failing that, contract has expired so is there any notice period

A problem in a premise such as a dodgy hub, cable or cable connection can indeed spread to all others connected to the same cabinet. VM has a variety of diagnostic tools and should have sorted this out by now.

  • I've been saying exactly the same with my connection, not for weeks, for months. It seems to me unless the outage is for a number of hours, it is simply ignored. I'm going to EE asap.

ThirtySix  & wtf_is_this    Have you setup a BQM for monitoring your incoming circuit?  If you have evidence of a sub standard supply, you might be able to use this to go to the Ombudsman for a ruling to allow you to leave without penalty, i.e. Deadlock letter procedure?
