Not sure exactly what you're saying there, but changing the Hub won't change your broadband connection.

It might in some cases improve your Wi-Fi speed, but that's not guaranteed.

  • Hi Bond0071

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Apologies for any lower than expected speeds. Can you advise how are you testing the speeds, wired/wireless and what devices please? The Hub 5 is only for 1GB accounts, which if you're not on this speed, why we cannot send you this. Best wishes.

All new customers get a HUB5 on a speed tier of M350 and above now, for some time. Customers on M250 also got a HUB5, but not sure if this i still currently the case. Existing customers usually get a HUB5 if they are upgraded to GIG1 - whether because of VOLT or not.

The most common way to get a HUB5 is to protest firmly but politely to VM retentions (not standard customer services) during contract renewal, that the router is not giving you WIFI6 AX speeds, and why should new customers get these speeds when you can't.

It's even possible to get a HUB5 on M125, but depends on how serious you sound when negotiating. Sound weak or hesitant you have no chance with terms like "thinking of leaving" or "need to have a think and call back". Trained operatives are ready to decipher this and offer nothing.
