Hub5 not working

Hello, 

I had a replacement hub5 delivered on Monday. Spent all day yesterday trying to get it to connect but no internet or very intermittent. Checked all connections are sound - rebooted hub numerous times and makes no difference. Starts off with constant white light, then flashes for a while and then changed to blue flashing light. 

I have now reconnected my old hub3 which seems to be working fine. You can have the hub5 back if it’s no good. Let me know what to do.

  • If the older Hub 3 is still working the replacement Hub 5 has not been activated, 
    was there a VM phone number to call ( E.g. 0800 953 9500 ) to get the Hub 5 activated ?

      No there wasn’t a phone number to activate the hub. No other communication apart from receiving the hub.

  • Also I have 5 days to activate the hub5 which gives me until Saturday otherwise I will apparently loose the “service”. 

    If it’s that much hassle I’d prefer to keep my hub3 ? 

    Can someone from VM please enlighten me.

      you might as well move to the hub 5 now more Docsis channels and 2.5Gb port 

  • I’d be happy to keep the hub5 if I can get it activated. Is the 0800 number the correct one to get activated ? 

  • Thanks for the link and advice. 
    It’s a shame VM don’t make this clear when setting up a new hub. Not great for customers. It seems customer support is now non-existent.
