Hub5 Ethernet problem

I am having an issue with the Hub5 not sharing WiFi and Ethernet connection and have no idea what to try next.

WiFi works ok in the house until I plug in an Ethernet cable. As soon as I connect one into any of the normal gig ports, the WiFi immediately drops.

We have large outbuildings that need the DVR on Ethernet for the security feed that covers the entire house. This is wired up by a CAT6 cable. The speed of the internet is fine in the outbuilding and on the DVR but it is taking the whole connection and dropping the WiFi.

I have changed the cables, performed a factory hard reset, checked that DCHP is enabled etc.

A main frustration is that I can’t access the Smart Hub online when I plug the ethernet in as WiFi drops.

Does the Ethernet cable have any kit attached that would conflict with the VM Hub ?

    Things like:

Another device with a static IP of 192.168.0.1

A second active DHCP Server that is issuing conflicting IPs or IPs on a range that has no route to the internet.

When logged in to the DVR box, it has the option to enable DHCP and shows the same IP. I can edit IP here but it’s the same. The CAT6 runs straight from the router to the DVR box in the outbuilding.

What IP does the DVR currently have ?

I am unclear if you are indicating the DVR can get its IP via DHCP from the VM Hub and would typically have an IP in the range of 192.168.0.xxx   usually at least 192.168.0.10

Or the DVR has a DHCP server and can issue IPs.
