Hub5 - Security settings
I recently upgraded from Hub3 to Hub5. In Hub3, I was able to allow or disable WiFi access to devices by adding or removing their Mac address to the list of allowed devices. Hub 5 has the same options available, but when I followed the same setup / procedure that worked with Hub3, it does not work with Hub5. Is this a known problem with Hub5?
In Hub3 I used add the Mac Addresses of the devices I want to give access to. When the option is set to "Allow", Only the devises with the Mac Address on the list were able to connect. If the option was set to 'Deny' the devices on the list were not able to connect to WiFi.
With Hub 5 it appears to working exactly the opposite. With the setting "Allow" the devices with Mac addresses listed are not able to connect to WiFi. When it is set to "Deny" all the devices are able to connect to WiFi. The same as with the setting "Disable"
I reported this as a problem and they sent an engineer with a replacement hub. The replacement hub did not resolve the problem. The engineer said said that he did not have the expertise to resolve the problem and make a note of the issue in his report. Nothing has happened since then.
I cannot find any documentation on Hub5 to help resolve this issue.
Can someone help?
