Hub 5 Firmware Update on 17/10/2025

The firmware was updated on my Hub 5

LG-RDK_11.6.2-2410.1 Rolled out on 17/10/2025 02:27

Has anyone noticed if this has fixed the EEE error on the 2.5 GIG port?

Because I switched to using a Managed Switch nearly 2 years ago, it has made not any difference to my speeds.

big-luap   Swap it out for an unmanaged switch and see if it still works?  My 2.5Gb port is plugged into my Router and is working fine.  I’ve never configured anything around EEE btw.

    EDIT - Currently on LG-RDK_11.6.2-2410.1

I've always been able to get around 1.15Gb on my 1GB service too via the 2.5Gb port, however I only use the hub in router mode and have always made sure that anything relating to EEE and Green Internet is disabled in the advanced settings of my network adapter on my PC. (I'm using an ASUS 2.5G Ethernet USB Adapter)

As an aside, the firmware on my hub 5 is doing the hokey cokey

I recommend enabling Green Ethernet as it provides safe power savings without compromising link stability. However advanced Ethernet and energy-efficient Ethernet should be disabled for most users.

  • What was the issue? My Hub5 has updated too but always got around 1.15Gb on my 1GB service.
