Hub 5 - Password not working when trying to log into hub

I am having the exact same problem! I tried all the recommendations I found online to try and resolve an ethernet connection problem without any luck. Then I decided to press the red reset button, held it in for 30 seconds as suggested. Then found the password on the router base did not work. Came on this site and most people suggested a 60 second press on the reset. Have tried this many times with out any luck. Could someone suggest any way to overcome this problem please?

Are you using the Settings password?  The WiFi password will not allow access to the Hubs admin console.  Also some of the letters can be a bit hard to make out. A photo of the password enlarged may help?

If still no joy with the correct password... reset the Hub with a >60 second hold of the pin.

I do not know if they have been corrected, but the original VM instructions were wrong. After releasing the button/switch do Nothing. The hub will reboot itself. Original instructions said o turn the hub off and then on, you must not do this.

  • Hi snowglowjoe thanks for posting although sorry to hear of the issues you're having with your Hub.

Can you advise if you still need assistance regarding this?

Please note that as mentioned on here, you'll need the Hub Settings Password to log into the Hubs Settings, rather than the WiFi Password.

Please let us know if you need any further help.

    Many thanks

Hello Tom, thank you for your reply. After following all advice, checking ethernet connections, reset time etc, I have finally cured the problem! We recently replaced our tv, and tv stand which meant disconnections of kit and devices. Some of my kit is connected to 13amp trailing sockets. What solved the issue for me was to unplug my router supply plug from the trailing socket and insert it directly into a household wall socket. Reset the router and hey presto! Back online again. Hope this helps others and you with your advice. Thanks
