Ive got a Virgin Media Hub 3.0 in an extender mode ( I changed the IP address to 192.168.0.253 and un checked the DHCP server) but it keeps on restarting. Can anyone help?

I meant I changed the IP address to 192.168.0.253 and un-checked DHCP server and then plugged the Hub into a TP-Link power line

No you can't do that look to get your own router with 1Gb ports and put hub in modem mode

I suspect the Hub 3 in the original post in in the ROI and that is a different product to what we have here in the UK.

Crystal ball gazing : Perhaps your rebooting Hub 3 is writing log records to explain the reboots.

Would you not be so much better served with a Wireless Access Point !

I bet the hub was cheaper  off eBay but people don't know the hubs are boobytraped unless connected by coax

    Hi Lewis,

You will be better of continuing your thread on the Sky Community <here>

The users there should be able to advise on how to get the most out of your new Sky Hub SR203 and  TP-Link RE505X, and not use the NETGEAR WN1000RP which is WiFi N and inappropriate for use on a full fibre connection
