Hub 3 Restarting

Hi, Ive got a Virgin Media Hub 3.0 in an extender mode ( I changed the IP address to 192.168.0.253 and un checked the DHCP server) but it keeps on restarting. Can anyone help? Lewis

No you can't do that look to get your own router with 1Gb ports and put hub in modem mode

    Well I have and I can get Internet from it but it keeps restarting like every 30mins

      rest hub don't change anything is your connection stable?

        I don’t have a Virgin media contract. I’m with Sky but I can’t get much signal with extender. So I brought a Hub 3.0 from eBay. It works but it’s just the restarting. So can anyone help stop it?
