How long to get a new router?

Bit random but I thought I would ask as I honestly didn’t know.

Good news is I finally have a completion date for my new flat! Downside is when I was going over everything it turns out the router was taken out by the previous occupants. I’m told it is all set up for Virgin but was wondering how long it would take to get a new router and get it set up?

Estate agent assures me that it was previously set up with Virgin so shouldn’t have any issues with getting connected up, but was mostly asking as I want to get everything set up in the new flat before I move in officially. I work from home so need stable wifi.

Is it something that is very fast to order and install or are there any issues with getting set up I need to factor in to my moving plans?

    Good morning lorky ,

welcome to the community, it’s fantastic to hear that you are considering joining us.
Our equipment is the responsibility of our account holders so the old router would need to be returned by the previous tenants which is why it would no longer be there. But please don’t worry because we can normally get a new one out to you very quickly. I am assuming you are not already a customer and have one to take to your new place ?

I am more that happy to support you in getting connected swiftly, please keep an eye out for a private message from me and I will help ensure everything goes as smoothly as you need.

well that might not happen but you can get a better wifi router with 1Gb ports and put hub in modem mode if you have problems
