FY6 area Broadband Issues

Anyone else in the FY6 area struggling with no internet? Our broadband went down on Saturday afternoon and no sign of it coming back on any time soon.

The service status dashboard and automated phoneline both say there are no issues in the area but, on the rare occasion you can get through, agents on the phone say there is an area issue.

Be good to know if others are experiencing the same and if anyone has managed to get an ETA on fix at all?

Struggling to work from home on tethered mobile hotspot and very quickly burning through data.

Thanks very much, unfortunately neither shows an in issue in the area- but agents on the phone say there is and they can offer no update!

      Over 48 hours now

  • Evidently talking to myself but the issue is that the exchange box was hit by a car, does anyone at Virgin media know about this or have any idea when it’ll be fixed? (Engineer has been to site and it all looks very much repaired today!) no. Just told endlessly by phone operatives “there’s an outage” it’ll be fixed within 24 to 48 hours. It’s already been 72!

      Hi Jami3m,

Thank you for your posts and welcome to our community forums. We're here to help.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some issues with your services recently, and also to hear that the cabinet has been damaged by a car. Are the issues ongoing today? Can you provide a photo of the damaged cabinet you're referring to?

      Thanks,

        Hi Zach

yes issues are still going on today, the cabinet appears to be repaired but have an engineers working in various places around. Someone we know down the road is. Is connected again this evening but ours is still down.

  • Really struggling here in FY5.

The agents seem to be in the dark on this issue and its quickly escalating into an unfunny joke.

What seems to be the problem is the dns servers keep going down or are unresponsive to requests.
