Can I reverse Optimisation?

We were having some problems with our WiFi connectivity even with our two WiFi pods and I used the VM connect app to check everything out. Ended up doing a factory reset on our Hub 3 and then “Optimising” our connection as suggested. But now my smart speaker and some other devices won’t connect. Can I un-optimise and if so how can I do this? I’ve read elsewhere that the hubs might not work if I do this? But then our WiFi will not be sufficient?  Any advice appreciated! I’m so frustrated that I can’t figure this out 😬

    1) Unplug the 2 VM Pods and return them.

    2) Uninstall the VM Connect app from ALL devices in your home. ( don't ignore / skip this )

    3) Using the VM Hub menu at http://192.168.0.1/   login with the Hub password
( not the Wi-Fi password, not your VM a/c password ) and visit the Wireless Settings.

    4) DISABLE : Smart Wi-Fi / Windows Channel Optimization   ( aka Wi-Fi Optimisation / One Wi-Fi etc )
This will re-enable the ability to have split SSID and to set Manual Wi-Fi channels for best stability.

Do not re-install the Connect app as it will endlessly try to re-enable "Wi-Fi Optimisation".

    5) Order a Wi-Fi Mesh in a decent brand to replace the VM Pods and you will have a Wi-Fi network that is fully under your command and control + works with any ISP.
