Broadband is down for 6 days!

Just wondering what is happening with VM that they cannot fix an issue for six days in W3 London area? Anybody else experiencing this?  They keep promising to fix it every day and customer service was absolutely dreadful. I’m still within 14 days grace period after signing to your contract. Considering to leave and use 5g with Three (much cheaper) any suggestions?

It does occasionally happen that an area or similar fault takes ages to fix. My own experience of cable broadband, dating back to 2001 with Telewest, is of high reliability.

You can opt for mobile broadband but it won't be as fast or reliable as a fixed line connection.

  • Hi CatherineH79,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

We're sorry to hear about the issues you have been having with your broadband connection. 😔 Checking our systems, I can see that there is a fault open that is affecting you. The details of that are here:

    • ➡ Fault reference number: F011854712
    • ➡ Estimated fix time: 16 Jun 2025 21:00
    • ➡ Description: You might find that you don't have any Virgin Fibre, Voice, or Interactive Virgin TV services at the moment. We are sorry about this and are working hard to restore your services as soon as possible.

There is a note of this on your account so the relevant teams are aware you are affected and this will ensure the account is assessed automatically for automatic compensation once the fault is closed as resolved. You can view more information on this, as well as the eligibility criteria here 👉 Automatic Compensation

If there is anything else we can do, let us know. 😊

    Thanks,
