Apps on Phone and tablets not working

Hi everyone, newbie here. Hope you're all well.

We had a WiFi outage few days ago. The status website states all is resolved now...

The issue I'm having is that apps on my phone (most of them ) are not working. So like eBay, BBC, etoro Roblox etc cannot connect via the app. the apps work fine when I turn the WiFi off.

The app website (like eBay or etoro BBC)  work fine So not sure what the issue is.

 

I spoke to their customer services and they had no idea what the issue was 

 

Any help appreciated.

    If it just your iPhone and iPad that are not working on VM Wi-Fi try restarting them both.

    If your TV and laptop and all else are not working on VM try restarting the VM Hub.

      Thanks for responding!

      So im all android! Some apps works as well as all websites.

       

      It's just some apps that just don't work.

       

      Have tried restarting the router. Have also uninstalled apps and installed them again. Nothing worked so far....

        Sorry to hear about the issues you are having with the Apps on your phone. 

        I know you mentioned that you have tried rebooting the hub - have you tried rebooting the handset itself too? This can sometimes clear any issues! 

        It may also be worth checking your security settings 👉 https://www.virginmedia.com/help/security/essential-security via My VM 👉 virg.in/myVM  in additional to your Parental controls.
