Will my mobile contract continue if my broadband contract ends?

Good morning,

I've been with Virgin for my broadband for approx. 24 months now. Originally on an 18 month Black Friday deal which we extended for a further 18 months when it expired 6 months ago. I'm looking at adding an O2 sim to my package which comes with an 18 month contract in and of itself.

My question is, what will happen billing wise when my broadband deal ends in a years time, but my mobile contract continues for 6 months after that? Will my mobile contract continue on at that same price independently of my broadband offer?

I don't plan on leaving Virgin, but my broadband package costs will increase dramatically once the offer ends, and I don't want to be stuck paying those higher prices until the mobile contract ends too.

Hope all that makes sense!

Cheers.

  • Hey RichyJ91 Thanks for reaching out to us and a warm welcome to the Virgin Media Community forums. 👋🏼

Appreciate the post for the clarity on the matter. 🙂
I can confirm your mobile contract will continue if your broadband contract does end.

The two do allow for Volt benefits and makes the account eligible but does not affect each others contract tarrif / price.
    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Ilyas.

      Hi Ilyas,

Thanks for your reply. Ok, I will look into moving across to O2 I think in that case. I just didn't want to be tied into something where the price would suddenly jump up if the contract time frames didn't align that's all.

      Cheers.
