02 contract ending

My O2 contract which is connected to my Virgin Media contract ends shortly.
I am looking to get a lower monthly payment as I am not a big user. If I go elsewhere will this affect my Virgin Media benefits?

  • Hi colinwebb,

If you have a unlimited Sim with O2 it is possible to change it to a cheaper one and still keep your Volt benefits. I phoned O2 retentions and the girl I spoke to looked at my usage and offered me different use options that I could keep the Volt benefits with, also as it was a 'new' contract I could get another 6 months of Disney + free.

If you go to a different provider you will lose your Volt benefits AFAIK.

  • what i have done before is seen what is on the site and on compare site then chatted and used what is the same and i want and need and take it from there

  • It will have no effect. I too have left o2 and retained my volt benefits with tv and broadband.

Have you renewed your TV Volt contact since switching away from O2.

I simply upgraded my O2 via USwitch I've done it twice and kept full benefits
