Everytime I'm watching rugby league on sky sports plus red button it's laggy and horrible. Every couple of seconds it's like it's buffering/skipping. It's so annoying. Wifi signal strength is showing as 82% and download speed is 600, so surely this shouldn't be happening? I've reset the box (V6) and the router and it's still the same. It's the same problem every week and im getting sick of it. Does anyone have any suggestions please?
Had similar problems with flaky WiFI connections to my downstairs box (hub is upstairs) when I first had them installed 8 years ago. They don't like 2.4Ghz WiFi if there is any kind of contention with neighbours hubs (forget about the signal strength and "capable" speed, if there are multiple hubs using the same WiFi channel near your house the data rate goes through the floor). 5Ghz is better but signal strength can be an issue. This eventually led me to using the powerline connector option of using the mains network in the house to bridge Ethernet between the hub & the problem box.
Well im using a powerline and connecting to the 5Ghz which you would think would be enough! I'll try ethernet as I didn't think of trying it. Shouldn't have to do all this really with the amount we pay! Cheers for the idea
