Volume controls on V360

Just done a v360 upgrade. New remote will not control the TV volume (or mute). Have tried all the recommended solutions. Using the Live TV + 0 button for 10 seconds results in a message on the screen saying the TV and remote are now paired but volume buttons still not working. Anyone got any ideas?

Even though it's a new remote and should be new batteries, please try new batteries  - it's amazing how many times changing the batteries works and fully pairs the remote.

If that fails you can also try the following:-
Put the box into 'Pairing Mode' by pressing the Standby/On button on the front of the 360 box for 10 seconds.  Then using the remote control, press and hold the 'Live TV' button (the one on the right hand side directly below the red power/standby button) and the '0' button together for 10/15 seconds. And fingers crossed hopefully a  message should appear on the screen confirming that pairing was successful.

  • You could also try the 'key testing' method of pairing the remote, you might need to run through it a few times to find one that really works.

What make and model number is your TV, it might help you get some specific advice if someone else has the same TV.

Are you getting the sound directly from the TV, or are you using a third party device such as an amplifier, soundbar or speaker?  If so is it connected via HDMI or optical cable?

If using a third party device have you added it to the 360 via Settings > Audio & Video > Pair remote with devices > Audio Set up? which has three options. Try them all, but usually PCM2.0 works with older TV's

Also if using a third party device via HDMI and it's all set up, check the Settings > Audio & Video > Volume keys control. Pressing the OK button switching sound control between the TV and the 3rd party device (clicking the back button on the remote exits that screen and leaves the sound control  set to whichever type   of device is showing on that screen.

If none of the above applies then please state the make and model number of your TV (as previously requested) and any 3rd party sound equipment, and how it's connected.
