V360 box stuck on welcome page

Hi I'm hoping someone can help me here as I only get the automated service when I phone virin media. My 360 box has been stuck on the welcome screen since yesterday morning. I've tried rebooting it loads of times and still doesn't work. Checked all the cables too. I have noticed over the last few weeks I keep having to sign in again everything I want to use iplayer and YouTube. When I choose the run a rest option it keeps saying intermittent signal in your area and tells you to come back in 24 hours. I think the issue is the box though and would like a replacement or engineer visit but can't get through to anyone to arrange this. Any advice anyone?

Thanks

It turns out the hard drive was faulty so an engineer replaced the box. Thanks for the help

    Hi Mhairi5

It might be possible to get it up and running again by  turning off the 360 by the rocker switch on the back of the box;  then hold down both the standby/power button and the - (minus) button which is on the front of the box at the same time.

Next turn on the 360 again whilst keeping hold of those buttons for a further 30 seconds. The box should reboot, the power button will turn blue, and it should reset and boot up normally as a 360.

If the above doesn't work then use the same method again but this time substitute the minus button for the + (plus) button.

I generally have to sign into most apps again if I've turned the box of either by the rocker switch or the switch on the wall.  This can also happen when the box has performed a software update and there have been a couple in the past few weeks.

It can also sometimes be an early sign of a faulty hard drive.  This usually shows as recordings being deleted, although you can test this by pausing a live TV program for a few minutes and then playing it back. (This is the same as making a recording) If it plays back without any problems then your hard drive is fine.
