Virgin 360 Sky Sports+ Red Button Pause

Does anyone know how to pause/rewind the red button stream on Sky Sports+ with the remote from a 360 box?

I've been told you can but the functionality doesn't seem to exist for me.

You can only pause/rewind a broadcast channel. So if the game is carried live on 508/518 (without pressing red) you can do this. All the red button content is live streamed from an internet driven app, does not go through the TV box broadcast tuners, so cannot be paused, recorded or rewound.

Where, or by whom, have you been told that you can pause/rewind a red-button (IP) stream?
The short answer is that they are not recordable any more than an OnDemand programme can be, and for the exact same reasons. These are not broadcast channels but internet-based streams.

The red button app for Sky Sports Plus enables real-time adaptive streaming but does not utilise a buffer which would enable pausing or rewinding. This is in contrast with, say, BBC iPlayer's live time-shifted streams which are designed with a time-shifting buffer and so you can pause them.
