Virgin 360 box has deleted all recordings + planned recordings.....again!!!

Twice now all my stuff has been deleted and planned recordings cancelled! What's the best way to fix this before that box gets launched into the garden? TIA. 👍

  • You need to call it in - the hard bit is getting to speak to somebody who will not stick to their script.

    It seems it is a known issue and the box needs replacing,

  • Hi Mcbeaver81

    Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Sorry to hear of this happening with the recordings.

    Can you do a factory reset on the box for us to see if this fixes things?

    Best,

        To factory reset go to Settings (the cog at the end of the Home menu) > System > Factory Reset. It's actually misnamed and only a partial system reset and not a complete factory reset. You are given 2 options
        Keep Recordings
        Format Disk
        Choose Keep Recordings, which means you won't lose your recordings, and any planned recordings, or series links you've set up. You may have to sign into your apps such as iPlayer, Prime, Netflix and ITVX again.  Also Match frame rate and Standby power consumption may go back to their default settings if you have changed them.

  • You could try a factory reset using the keep recordings option and then call Virgin when it happens again.

    Make sure the Auto delete option is set to off, it probably already is and shouldn't affect planned recordings but you can check by doing the following;

    Press Home > Recordings > Recorded > View All > Manage Storage > Enter your pin > Auto delete when space needed > Set to Off.
