V360 - constant variation of recording issues! Very very wearing!!!

I got my V360 some weeks ago. When I try and record a programme, I often get some message saying virgin tv1 not starting or is starting  up and to check my recordings later  (or some such message??.  That's totally unacceptable! The V360 has several key functions including recording programmes and I need a positive confirmation there and then that its done its job and to know its doing its job... it shouldn't be for me to check later if its worked or not).  So then I don't know if it has or hasn't recorded or planned to record the programme. So then I need to keep trying to record the programme and checking if the recording symbol is next to the programme title on the tv Guide. Sometimes it works quickly and sometimes it doesn't do it at all. So that's stressful,  frustrating and time wasting on a regular basis and gives me little confidence in the V360.

On another occasion I tried to record a channel 4 programme that turned out not to be recordable (the arrow in a circle symbol was missing next to programme name) but the v360 kept letting me try to record it (rather than saying it wasn't recordable). It also wasn't available (although photo of show was visible) on the ch 4 app. Then a while after the programme had aired. Both v360 and the app said it was now available.  So I clicked on 'record series'. But this programme wouldn't show up under the planned programmes for the second episode.  And the first of the series didn't show up under the planned programmes. So I lost 100% confidence and decided to try and cancel the series link to then reset it again. But I've now tried to delete the series link many times but it won't cancel but its also not showing on the planned or recorded lists!. But on checking the second episode next Monday it also hasn't got the available to record symbol  next to  it (although I expect as per the first episode,  it will become available to record after its aired... but i don't understand why its not subsequently showing me the first episode retrospectively under recordings.  Or is it someone at Ch 4 who is causing the problems by not releasing it for recording until after its aired and so the v360 isn't picking it up to record but also can't record the next episode as that hasn't been authorised to be recorded?? (And if that's the case then why aren't Virgin having words with the Ch 4 app to resolve this???).

I was also trying to record the most recent love Island series but that wouldn't record either....

I have little confidence in the V360s recording abilities! In fact I think I'll ask for a part refund as it doesn't seem fit for purpose or reliable enough to rely on!!

Generally,  all I know is that it was so.much simpler to record on the Tivo box.
