Upgrading V6 box to 360

Step 1 in the installation process of my new 360 Mini Box is the upgrading of my old V6 to 360 but I am not getting an "Upgrade to Virgin TV 360 now" option on the V6 home screen as it says I should in the new installation guide. I can't see this problem mentioned anywhere online. Has anybody experienced the same issue and how is it resolved?

If your V6 hasn't downgraded to 360, I'd be very grateful and take it as a lucky escape.

    Hi jimbot58

I would avoid installing the mini box until the actual V6 is ready to perform the migration to 360.

It can take a couple of days for the actual 'update' icon to be made available on the V6 box, although sometimes it appears in the Apps folder rather than on the Home screen. This may be due to expected delivery days/times as in the past the box has updated automatically prior to the customer actually receiving the 360 remote control, meaning they've been unable to watch TV.

The actual conversion from V6 to 360 is an over the air update, (the hard drive is formatted and then the Horizon operating system is installed) however the V6 box connects to the servers approx once every 6 hours to update the EPG it may pot have received the update/conversion signal yet, and so that may be sent overnight.

You could try rebooting your V6 box to see if that forces the update signal and icon to be sent to your box.
