TNT Sports Ultimate - Sound Issue

Hi all,

I live in area 18. Have a 360 box, recently replaced due to the dreaded green screen. No issues since.

I am trying to watch Arsenal v Brentford but the sound is very glitchy and cuts out roughly every 20 seconds making it unwatchable.

Previously we noticed issues with this channel with our old box too - again, it was during the football and all other channels were fine.

I can see others have had this issue before - is there a fix? I have tried restarting the box but it looks like it is a channel issue as all other channels are fine and the adverts are completely fine too. Picture is also fine, it is just a sound issue.

    Hi ereeve0690

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

I suggest you also try the various sound settings on the 360 by going to Settings> Audio & Video > Audio Output

I was having issues as well with TNT Sports Ultimate.

The sound is just a squeaky noise, however the sound on all the others channels are fine. I changed the audio output to 'PCM 5.1 HDMI' Only instead of 'Follow Content' and the sound is fine now.

Do you know why this is? I am using a 4K TV and not using any sound-bar or anything....

        Hi ritaowusu1986

Thanks for your post and sorry you were also experiencing this issue.

Glad to hear it has been resolved by changing the audio output but if you encounter any further problems, let us know so we can investigate it further for you.

        Thanks!

  • Hi ereeve0690 thanks for your post here in the Community, although we're sorry to hear of the concerns you've raised here.

Do you know if this has happened since the changeover from BT Sports Ultimate to the TNT Sports Ultimate?

Additionally, can you confirm the model of your TV and what type of HDMI cable you have connected as this could also be a factor?

    Many thanks

  • Hi Ereeve0690 👋🏼.

      Hi all,

Sound issues have gone away since my post. I haven’t changed anything (it was on my to-do list) so wonder if it was something to do with the channel itself.
Fingers crossed that’s the last issue we have!
      Thanks for all your help.
