The recordings should have been automatically deleted as the hard drive is reformatted during the migration process

what do we do now with the old remote controls, which belong to VM?

VM don't need them back so they can be recycled.  I've kept hold of mine in case a family member, friend or neighbour ever need them.

I'm sorry to hear you had some trouble with upgrading your TV, but I'm glad that's sorted for you now. In regards to the older remotes, as newapollo has mentioned, we wouldn't require them back and would ask that you recycle them.

If you head here, you can find your local recycling centre to ensure that they're recycled responsibly.
