Recordings

Hi, does anyone have any idea why I can't delete my past recordings, I can delete present and future planned recordings but not past recordings, I have tried deleting them from my virgin go app as advised by an engineer and that hasn't worked neither, I've only had Virgin for one month and had nothing but issues with this, I've had three engineers and three boxes and still all of my past recordings are stuck and will not delete, can anyone help please?

    Hi AmieGP,

    You say you've has VM for one month, but all of your past recordings are stuck and can't be deleted.  

    If you are a completely new VM customer and have never had their services before then it's possible that the original box that was installed was a re-furbished box (not all installations come with completely new equipment)

    Are these undeletable recordings ones that you have made yourself, or where they already showing on the box when you first went into the recording section?

    'Phantom recordings' can appear if the original box hasn't been turned off before being swapped out for the replacement box.  When this has happened it's either taken another box swap or third line support to clear the contents of the old box from the servers (systems).

      Hi,

      These are recordings that I have recorded and watched but it won't let me delete them. I've had three boxes in one month and the recordings have been stuck there on all three boxes?

        Were all the recordings that you can't delete on the first box that failed and the replacement boxes are trying to fix that problem.

        If not what were the boxes replaced for. Previously it has required some intervention from virgin to clear things as already posted.
