Recordings won’t delete on Virgin 360

I have today been struggling to delete recordings from my my Virgin 360, I have only had the box since August and it took a week to update all my channels (which I am still waiting for compensation for) and even when I lock recordings from delete they have been deleting even though my box has never been above 97% full and now I can’t delete - does anyone know how to fix this or is this more rubbish from virgin media?

  • Do you mean 97% full or 97% space available, the hard drive needs some space available for box management and being able to buffer so you can rewind live TV. Most people wouldn't let the box get that full so they can still record new programmes.

    If you go to Recordings, Recorded, View all, Manage storage, enter your pin, you will find the option's 1) Ask to delete after watching, 2) Fast clean-up options, and 3) Auto-delete when space needed. You need to set 1 + 3 to off, you can try using the Fast clean-up options to tidy up your hard drive.

     Another option to try and delete stuff is by using the TVGO app as the data for the recordings is held on Virgin's servers while the recordings are physically on the box.
