Recordings keep being wiped

My Virgin box keeps deleting my recordings, usually every few days I go to watch something I have recorded and everything has been wiped - no recordings, no planned recordings. I set them up again and it seems fine, then a few days later they are gone again!

It rewinds and pauses fine, no issues there.

It also forgets to keep my signed into iplayer, 4 on demand, ITVX etc. Every time I watch something on catch up, I have to sign in again with my phone and QR code. Every single time, it's very annoying.

Is this just a faulty box?

  • Certainly sounds like the box is faulty if it's deleting your recordings and planned recordings.

    You can either call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.

    Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums, sorry to hear of the issues that you are facing with your tv box deleting recordings. Have you checked to ensure that in the settings that Auto-Delete is not turned on?
