Recording programs

I have recently received a replacement 360 box as my previous one kept deleting recorded programs.

Now with the new one I am unable to set a programme to be recorded as I get the response “Your virgin tv box is offline. We’ll schedule this series when the box is back online”.

However the box is on as I’m watching something.

 

any ideas please?

    It might be that the VM internal servers haven't caught up with the box change yet.

    It may also be due to a loss of internet connection which would tie in with the red button not working on Sky Sports channels, and also the  “Your virgin tv box is offline.... message.

    You can usually tell that as some of the EPG channels will be showing TBA (To Be Announced) 

    If your 360 box is connected to the internet with an ethernet cable make sure that it's still connected and snug and tight at both ends.  If so also try a different ethernet port or cable. 

    If it's connected by WiFi then go to Settings > System > Diagnostics and that screen will show if the internet is connected. If it isn't then go to Settings > System > Change connection type WiFi and click on either click on the SSID for your router and follow the prompts to add the WiFi password again, or click on WPS set up in that menu and click on the WPS button on your hub, and then follow the onscreen prompts again.

    EDIT You could also try rebooting both the 360 and your hub.

      red button was working on another channel of sky sports.

      its connected by WIFI

      Have rebooted both, still no joy
