Picture a bit darker with Virgin TV 360 than other devices on the same TV

When I switch to the Virgin TV 360 box, the picture is a bit darker than other devices on the same TV (Amazon Fire & games console).

When I'm using the Virgin TV 360, I can't access the display settings on my TV (such as change colour etc).

Does the Virgin TV 360 box have it's own colour/display settings?

It's a Sony TV.

Thanks.

  • Hey BBIssues, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this.

Every TV show may show different this could be because of it how it was filmed HD, SD 4K etc and also depending on your TV if its smart one these days they have settings in them to change automatically to match what is on screen.

If you go into the actual TV settings you should see the settings and pre-sets for this. Cheers

      No. Please read again.

Anything displayed via the Virgin Media box is darker than anything else I watch on the TV via another source, such as apps on the TV (Netflix, YouTube etc) or via the Fire TV Stick.

When I switch to Virgin Media box via the TVs HDMI selector, I can't access any of the TVs picture or display settings.

      I've tried different HDMI cables.

If you say what make and model TV you have it might help with getting an answer from someone with the same  TV.

I had a Sony that was like that, I had to switch back to the TV from the 360 connected through a soundbar but since then the same setup has had the Sony replaced first with a Samsung and now an LG and neither of these have had the same problem.
