No Sound on Just 2 Channels

I've 2 x 360 boxes. Turning them both on earlier l had a picture but no sound on either channel 502 or 507. Every other available channel  was fine for both picture and sound.

Contacted Virgin and dealing via the chat box, was asked to re boot, check all the cables, and change the audio settings to PCM 5.1, no joy. After reading similar problems on here l later also tried changing to PCM 2.0.

My problem has been passed up the line to hopefully be rectified within 5 days.  Has anyone out there got any ideas. Seems very strange just affecting 2 channels out of so many

    Sorry, just an add on, for about a minute on both tvs, we get very, very  short burst if sound then nothing more

    Exactly same problem as you, no sound on 502 and 507. Unusually if I select view program from the start there is sound, when I return to live feed no sound. Tried everything Virgin recommended but no joy. Passed up to the next technical team

    If you could say where you are that might help in pointing to an area problem.

    No problems here in South Manchester have you tried calling the automated faults line for any existing issues in your area that could be the cause: 0800 5610061.

      tonyO...l'm in St. Helens on Merseyside and before l got as far as the chatline they'd said there were no reported faults in my area

    The above may be tied in with an earlier issue which affected Sky Sports Premier League HD (ch 502) and Sky Sports Cricket HD (ch 504) which had a black screen and no sound  on  the TV360, V6 and tivo boxes.  

    The SD versions of those channels were unaffected and working correctly. The UHD channels were also unaffected.

    The Stream/Flex boxes were probably affected too although nobody has posted about the loss of those channels in that forum.

    The issue was flagged to VM's network engineering teams by forum moderators, and Ticket F011896758 was raised.  The issue was resolved around 2:30pm
