No Free Apps working

I've just joined Virgin and have set up as instructed.  I cannot get any of the free apps.  All I get is a black screen.   I've tried restarting etc but it won't open the apps.  Am I doing something wrong?

  • How is the 360 connected to your hub, ethernet cable or wi-fi.

    You can check the signal if you go to Settings > System > Diagnostics

    Did the above help at all, and by free apps do you mean by Iplayer etc?
