Apps not working

Hi

Since a few days ago, apps (or at least BBC iPlayer and ITV X, which are the only ones I use) are not working on my 360 box. When I select them I just get a blank screen, and the box becomes unresponsive to further commands (eg  Home and TV buttons) and I have to reboot to get the TV back.

Please advise
