Loss of recordings and planned recordings

Lost all my current and planned recordings on my new VM 360 box last night. I believe this is because I put the box in standby overnight. I suspect this may be an automatic feature of the box, clearing out the recordings if the box is off for some indeterminate time (I have experimented by recording a few minutes of a channel then putting the box into standby and restarting it straight away. My recording was still there when I did so). If my supposition is correct is there any way of retrieving the lost recordings?

    The box records while in standby (any mode).

    Lost recordings stay lost.

  • It's a regulary reported fault with the 360.

    Yes, I can pause and rewind Live TV OK as has been suggested on other similar posts as a possible fault sign.

  • If the 360 has deleted your recordings and planned recordings it's a sign that the box is faulty.

    You could try a factory reset of the 360, and if you haven't got any recordings you might as well go for the format disk option and if or 'when' the box deletes everything again then phone Virgin.

    They might suggest you set the Auto delete option to off, it probably already is and shouldn't affect planned recordings but you can check by doing the following;

    Press Home > Recordings > Recorded > View All > Manage Storage > Enter your pin > Auto delete when space needed > Set to Off.
