Help please, 360 issue

Hi there, managed to get my new 360 box set up but cannot record anything, I have completely removed the old box and fitted the new 360 box which has a model number 1008C-STB-VM. It won't let me record anything now and states 'Virgin Tv1 is offline, or not connecting'. 

I know this has been covered a fair few times on here but I cannot find a definite resolution and the forum setup is not the best for reading old posts.

Reading some of the posts makes me think that I shouldn't have removed the old box and just upgraded it and then added this box but what's the point of that, have 2 boxes instead of 1??

    This looks like the 360 mini which has no hard drive, so it needs the 360 to be running to do recordings on its hard drive.

  • Did you only have e 1 Virgin box, if you did and it was the old TiVo box you have been sent the TiVo box replacement in a multi room set up by mistake.

    The TiVo V6 box which would receive a software update to 360 looks the same as a 360 main box with a hard drive so you can still record.

    The mini box is sent out as a replacement for the secondary old TiVo box if you had a V6 and TiVo box.

    The main box is on the left and the mini on the right.
