It would help if provided examples of which programs are only giving partial (half) programs.
It may be a re-occurence of an old issue where some broadcasters split the program into two, often the Great TV channels. It's always best to double check programs on the Great channels in case of small breaks. If you see one then tape both parts of the movie (treat as episodes) and the break as well to be on the safe side.
There's a current example as whilst typing this Great Action (Ch426) is airing A Dangerous Man from 21:50. There is a break at 22:46 for The Week Back Then which airs between 22:46 and 22:51. The second part of A Dangerous Man then airs from 22:51 to 23:50. This one should record correctly if you have noticed it's in two parts and set the 360 to record both parts (The program synopsis when you press the context (3 dots) button does show the timings)
There's also a movie due to start on Great Christmas (Ch424) at 21:50 titled Christmas Joy. Looking at the program synopsis it too has a break at 22:45 for 5 minutes whilst Good News from GREAT! airs before the movie restart again at 22:50 and concludes at 23:45.

It's on great Tele for tonight patriot games but on recording it's only taping 21.35 -22.27 supposed to finish at 00.00,l have taken screenshots. Seems where there is a break for good news.

In this particular instance you can't set up a series link as suggested by roy247 (although that can and does work with series)
I suggest that you set up separate recordings for both parts of the movie, and either record the "Good News" in between both parts, or extend the recording of the first part by a couple of minutes in case it over runs due to adverts.
As a test I've set it up to record the first part with 2 minutes added, although the EPG is showing that both parts will be recorded. Will check later to see if both parts actually recorded.

If you are having the problems newapollo has mentioned then the quick solution was to set a series link for the film or whatever it is, I thought this problem was supposed to have been fixed in a previous update, but it might be down to the meta data provided by the channel.

If I know something odd like this is going to be broadcast I never bother with an extension, just record a subsequent programme or two from the EPG to cover it all.
