Extra 360 point
Is it possible to get an extra 360 connection point in my lounge so that I can move my existing box from one location to the other and back again if I want to?

Hi, I have a 360 tv point in my lounge and I would like an extra point in another corner so that I could move my TV from point to point if I wanted. How do I go about organising this and any idea of cost? Ray
You can give Virgin a call and ask them to move it, this is a non fault call out and has a standard charge of £25. The other option is to wait for one of the forum team to respond and they will arrange it for you, could be a couple of days.
Thanks for the reply. You mentioned moving the TV point, but I actually don’t want it moved, ideally what I want is an “extra” tv point so that I can move the 360 box I have from one place to another. Ray
If this is possible I would really like Virgin to give me some cable so that I can route it the way that I want and just leave them to make the connections at each end. Ray
Virgin can supply an extension cable I think it's 5 metres, how long a cable are you looking for, longer cables can affect signal levels and would need an engineer to adjust the signal at the street cabinet.
Why not just get a second (wireless) box?
You have asked this question before, so it might be possible that both will be combined.

The answers pretty much stay the same, I did see none of the forum team came back to give you a definitive answer. If you have more than one connection I think it would be classed as multi room if you have 2 external entry points into your property which is why I suggested a longer cable if that would work without the signal needing adjusting at the street cabinet, which wouldn't be practical if you had problems every time you moved your box. Is it you have 2 TV's that you want to swap the box between or you keep moving your TV.
As newapollo suggested before you could go multi room and get an additional box.
You need to persuade VM that this is just an extra connection point, possibly easier these days as VM provides the Stream box and not the 360 mini for multiroom. In such a case VM should charge £25 for the splitter and cable run.
Problem with multiroom is that a Stream box costs £10pm which the OP may not wish to pay.
If they did just fix an extra connection point and balance signal levels between the 2 they would connect a terminator to the unused connector to stop the possibility of any noise ingress into their network which would need swapping every time the connection is swapped ideally.
Hey Razorman, thank you for reaching out and currently its only possible to have one entry point, however we can look at moving this to somewhere else if you wanted for a one off fee of £25.
