Re: Extra 360 point

Hi, I have a 360 tv point in my lounge and I would like an extra point in another corner so that I could move my TV from point to point if I wanted. How do I go about organising this and any idea of cost? Ray

You can give Virgin a call and ask them to move it, this is a non fault call out and has a standard charge of £25. The other option is to wait for one of the forum team to respond and they will arrange it for you, could be a couple of days.

Thanks for the reply. You mentioned moving the TV point, but I actually don’t want it moved, ideally what I want is an “extra” tv point so that I can move the 360 box I have from one place to another. Ray

        Hi Ray

VM will move the 360 TV point, however if you want an additional point for the tv set top box then it would be treat as a multiroom subscription and VM would supply an additional set top box. There is an extra charge of £10 a month for the first additional set top box, and £5 a month extra for each additional box.

New customers are provided with a Stream set top box which is IP based - this box doesn't require a coaxial connection and thus can be moved anywhere within your property. It isn't a recordable box as it doesn't contain  a hard drive.   Current customers without a multiroom subscription can add this box, but would have to pay the multi room subscription.

Customers that already have a multiroom subscription though can't benefit by taking out a Stream box at present.

The only way for a current TV customer to obtain the Stream box without paying a multi-room subscription would be to cancel their current subscription, and if still in contract pay off any early termination fees, before signing up for a Flex/Stream box.

If this is possible I would really like Virgin to give me some cable so that I can route it the way that I want and just leave them to make the connections at each end. Ray

Virgin can supply an extension cable I think it's 5 metres, how long a cable are you looking for, longer cables can affect signal levels and would need an engineer to adjust the signal at the street cabinet.
