Can’t delete series link

My wife recorded the film ‘Nobody’ several months ago, decided she didn’t want it after watching it for a while so deleted it. Now, every time it is shown, it records. It wasn’t on a series link as it’s a single film. I tried editing the recording using the ‘pencil’ but it only gives me a choice of turning auto-delete on or off. Any ideas?

  • Thanks for the quick response. I’ve done the factory reset, keeping my recordings etc. so will see what happens in future.

  • Didn't think you could set a series link for a film, have you tried using the TVGO app to see if you can delete it there.

I’ve tried the app but didn’t help. I’ll see how it goes as I’ve now done a ‘factory reset’.

I’ve tried power off and on multiple times since this issue started as sometimes the 360 box loses connection to my iPad, and last week, the box turned itself off requiring a restart. I don’t know if the box is starting to play up, because sometimes it only does partial recordings of programmes too. I don’t want to do a factory reset as the drive is at 25% used and I don't want to lose the recordings.

Factory Reset is actually misnamed and only a partial system reset and not a complete factory reset. You are given 2 options
        Keep Recordings
        Format Disk

You should only lose your recordings is you select the nuclear option of Format Disk.

Choose Keep Recordings, which means you won't lose your recordings, and any planned recordings, or series links you've set up. You may have to sign into your apps such as iPlayer, Prime, Netflix and ITVX again.  Also Match frame rate and Standby power consumption may go back to their default settings if you have changed them.

As I can’t edit my post, I’m doing it as a reply. I’m not sure that ‘Nobody’ has been shown recently, so is it possible that it was never properly deleted in the first place and for some weird reason, it keeps getting restored to the recordings list?
