360 TV Control Has No Next Video/Track For YouTube

I have just upgraded to Virgin 360 from V6.

The old V6 control had a 'Next track' (shift+N on a computer using Youtube ) button to use on playlists etc.    The new control does not.  I now have to fast forward any Youtube video I want to skip or press a set of navigation options to bring up a next track icon on the YouTube Video.  In desperation I even tried resetting the V6 control to but it no longer works.  The other buttons on the old control work but not the 'Next track'.

I very now much regret the upgrade as I can no longer use Youtube the way I want to.

Has anybody got a solution?

If you use Youtube a lot and are thinking of upgrading from V6 to 360, don't do it!

  • You only need to press the OK button, up arrow and then 2 presses right to get to the previous and next options, only a couple of seconds.

  • Hi rebelfox4,

Not being a frequent YouTube viewer (except for most nights to hear some music before bed), unless you pay for YouTube, YouTube premium, I don't believe you can skip all the adverts which take you longer to watch than pressing a few buttons to skip to the next track.

I guess life is just too short, or just lazy now for some people, pressing a button 3 or 4 times instead of once is so hard to do.

I am a YouTube premium user.

I am also a high volume user.

I am also not lazy or patronising.

When you have a long playlist or Youtube suggests tracks to you that you want to make a decision rapidly then yes it is hard to do.

It would need YouTube to add any features it's their app and Virgin don't control the features, I asked a year ago about adding a shuffle option for playlists and got the usual "pass the suggestion on" message.

Just listening to some music on YouTube now.

Unfortunately a generic link that does not solve my problem is not helpful at all.

The new control has lost the previous and next track buttons.  The 360 control is therefore a step backwards when using YouTube for me.
