Unable to stream and Visit My Virgin Media

Like a lot of people who have had accounts for 10 years plus this new Virgin Media/02 Account thing has been very frustrating not being able to stream the Premiership and NFL if i can get the answer to 2 questions it might work

  1. Account number apparently is a 9-digit number the account number I can find is 12 digits
  2. Area Number no idea why is there not an area number calculator ?? My address is [REMOVED]
  3. Thank you for your assistance

  • Probably got account number sorted but still having problems with area ref cant access the internet and our new contract agreement does not mention it

  • is it the first 9 digits of your account number ? where can you find your area reference ?

      Thanks for the update Duggs413, have you been able to locate both your account number and the area ref using the image that newapollo (thanks for the assist) has provided?

      If you have access to a 12 digit account number then ignore the last 3 numbers and just quote the first 9 numerical digits  ---  If you pay by direct debit then check your bank statement as the first 9 numerical digits of the reference number for your VM payment is also your account number.

      The area reference along with your account number can be found on the original paperwork you received when you signed up to VM, and also on any online bills (screenshot attached) along with your contract.

    Sorry to hear of the streaming issues experienced since the change to VMO2 ID's, we appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums and welcome to the community.

    Firstly, we aren't able to give you your account number via the forums, this can be found on your bills. The area reference is in relation to where you live and is a two digit number, each area having their own reference. We can't give you this at this time as the address you posted was removed for security reasons given it was posted on the public section of the forum.
