VM analogue landline dead

Hi,

Currently have a landline plugged into the analogue VM phone network which has no dial tone and it's not an issue with the phone. I've had no letter or email regarding landline transition, but I have a suspicion that VM has turned off the analogue line and has failed to inform me of switchover. I have a hub phone jack converter, and neither port 1 and 2 on the hub work. Landline not worked since Tuesday/Wednesday.

Thanks

  • Hi alestescarrow,

Thank you for your post. We're very sorry to hear about the issue with your landline service.

We can certainly take a look into this for you. I will private message you now to confirm your details.

For the phone to work through the sockets on the VM hub a new configuration must be loaded on the hub. I just suspect it’s a local problem.

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web service status page, but this is not recommended as it only covers issues that affect a very large number of customers.

VM will not dispatch any technicians while an area fault exists.

    If no area faults found:

The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post. This board is not a fault reporting system.
