Landline phone not ringing

Hi, our landline phone has stopped ringing, the phone its is fine and we’ve tried another phone but no luck. There is no dial tone and If you try to ring out it doesn’t connect to another phone. If you try to ring the home number from a mobile it won’t connect and cutes off, please can someone help as the website wasn’t very helpful, thank you,

    We're sorry to hear you're having issues with your landline. We won't be able to fix this remotely so I would like to arrange for an engineer to come to take a look at this for you.
