Landline not working is engineer needed

My landline is not working since yesterday morning with no dial tone. I have phoned to try to resolve and an engineer is booked for Saturday morning. My mother lives in the same area and has the same issue. She alerted me to it. She is without her anytime calls that she uses daily. The advisor didn’t say there was a problem in the area and booked an engineer. I’m not sure if that would solve this issue? I’m sure many others landlines are down but they probably just use mobiles anyway. We shouldn’t be charged for services we can’t use for a few days.

    Thanks for your help Gareth have checked tool and no issue reported. Landline still down at both addresses.

      Hello David, sorry to hear the Landline is still down. So I can take a look, I just need to complete security.

      To proceed with security, we need to ask you to provide 3 characters from the account memorable word. Once we ask for these, we'll only have a 5 minute window to pop the answers on our system to verify if they're correct.

      Can you please confirm if you're available now to give these? If so, let us know and we will then ask what characters are needed. We would then require those specifically requested characters only, no others.

       

      If you're not available until later today, please confirm what time would work best for you before 8 pm.

    Thanks for your post. 
    Sorry to hear about the issue with your landline going down. As you mentioned, your mother has the same issue. If we get so many calls about a fault in the same area, then this gets classed as an area fault and fixed remotely. Have you checked the area here to see if this has been reported?

    Regarding loss of service credit, we're happy to take a look once the landline is back on.

    I'll send you a private message to pass security and keep an eye on your account.

    If you can check the logo, top right of your screen, that would be great.
